Super-Spin Cycle

What is political spin anyway? According to the ever convenient wikipedia:

spin is a usually pejorative term signifying a heavily biased portrayal in one's own favor of an event or situation; it is a euphemism for propaganda.

There was a bit of this going on last night, some of my favorite from Rudy Giuliani, and that's because he's been around long enough to know the words he was reading were spin. Some other people may not have been privy to the truth.

The most dangerous point of spin from the third night of the RNC, in my opinion, was the ongoing jab that Barack Obama wants to raise taxes for all Americans when John McCain wants to keep taxes where they're at. This is blatantly not true. At all.

If your household makes less than $250,000 a year, you will pay less taxes with a President Obama than a President McCain. source

Interesting that Obama would be labeled an elitist, when he's the one who realizes people making less than $250k (the vast majority of the country) need a bit of a break.
